When your restaurant is in Offline Mode, your guests can:
Guests cannot place new orders through Toast Mobile Order & Pay® while your restaurant is operating in Offline Mode. Because mobile ordering is unavailable, guests must place new orders with a staff member. Staff should enter orders on a Toast POS or Toast Go® device. If your local network remains connected (for example, Ethernet and router are still plugged in), orders entered on Toast devices can print to backup kitchen printers so you can continue service.
If orders were placed using Toast Mobile Order & Pay™ before going into Offline Mode and then your system comes back online before the guest pays for their order, you will find their order under the Pending Orders section. Since your auto-fire device was offline, you will need to approve these orders to send them to the kitchen. A guest may pay with their mobile device or with an employee if the restaurant's connection has been restored and the restaurant is out of Offline Mode.
You may wish to snooze Online Orders for the next 20 or 40 minutes to catch up on any orders placed during Offline Mode. Manage Online Order Volume describes snoozing Online Orders.
