Toast Test Kitchen Process

  1. Learn what beta testing and Toast Test Kitchen are
    1. Beta testing allows a select number of customers to use new products and get access to new product updates at their restaurant prior to releasing it to all Toast customers.
    2. As a final round of testing, beta customers have the ability to give feedback as they test out product functionality.
    3. Review Toast's beta participation agreement to learn more.
  2. Access Test Kitchen from Toast Web
    1. To access Test Kitchen, navigate to Toast account > Test Kitchen > Test Kitchen or select the button below.
    2. Note: This page currently only works on a desktop.
    3. Check out Test Kitchen here!
  3. Review beta opportunities and opt in to programs
    1. With Toast Test Kitchen, you can learn about all new and ongoing beta testing opportunities and opt in to beta programs straight from Toast Web.
    2. Each beta uses one of three program types. The program type affects how soon you can use the feature after you sign up:
      • Instant Access: The feature is available within minutes of signing up.
      • Waitlist: There is no fixed timeframe. Access depends on when the product team is ready, which could take days or weeks.
      • Early Access: Timing depends on the individual beta. Most Early Access betas work like Waitlist betas, but some are set up as Instant Access.
    3. Note: Waitlist and Early Access betas do not have a committed timeline for when you get access.
    4. After you sign up, you receive a confirmation email that tells you whether you are on the Waitlist or have Instant Access.
    5. If something does not look right, reply to your confirmation email:
      • Waitlist or Early Access: Reply if you have not heard anything in a while.
      • Instant Access: Reply if you cannot access the feature.
  4. Provide feedback on beta product functionality
    1. Provide feedback directly within the beta feature you are testing.
