Cash Management Steps

Step 1: Grant Cash Management Permissions to Managers

To update a manager's permissions so they have access to cash management functions, follow these steps:
 

  1. In Toast Web, navigate to Employees > Employee management  > Jobs. Select the manager Job Title that needs updating.
    1. If you simply want to update a single employee to add permissions, navigate to Employees > Employee management > Employees and then select the pencil icon beside the employee's name.
  2. Ensure the following permissions are enabled:
    1. Under POS Access
      1. Cash Drawer Access
      2. No Sale
  3. Under Manager
    1. Shift Review
    2. Close Out Day
    3. Cash Management (Full)
    4. Cash Drawer Lockdown (Override)
    5. Adjust Cash Drawer Start Balance
    6. Pay Out

Step 2: Set Up Your Cash Drawer
