Configure Toast Printer Beep Sounds

Set your Toast printer to beep when tickets print by choosing a sound option in the printer’s setup mode (varies by model).

Configure the Toast TP200 Printer Beep Sounds

If you'd like your Toast TP200 printer to make a beeping sound whenever a ticket is printed, you can use your printer's setup mode to select one of six beep sound options. Watch the video below to learn how to configure these settings. 




  1. Enter setup mode.
    1. Hold down the power button until it turns orange.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the feed button at the same time until a ticket begins to print.
    3. You will see a ticket print with IP address information.
    4. Press and hold the feed button again until you see a ticket printout with setup mode instructions.
  2. Enter configuration settings by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then 1 long selection to validate the selection
  3. Select beep settings by pressing the feed button 8 times quickly, then 1 long press to validate the selection.
  4. Enable the internal buzzer by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then 1 long press to validate the selection.
  5. You have now entered beep mode.
    1. Select the mode you want by reading the number of times you need to press the feed button to enable the mode.
    2. If you want to make another selection, enable the internal buzzer once more.
  6. To save, go back to the initial menu:
    1. Press the feed button 1 time quickly, and then 1 long press to validate the selection. This will return you to the previous menu.
    2. Repeat this to go back to the menu before that.
    3. Repeat it one more time to return to the initial menu.
  7. Exit with saving by pressing the feed button 2  times quickly, and then 1 long press to validate the selection.
  8. Repower the printer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If your printer is connected to a terminal, restart the terminal as well.

Configure the Toast TKP300 Printer Beep Sounds

  1. Enter setup mode.
    1. Hold down the power button until it turns orange.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the feed button at the same time until a ticket begins to print.
    3. You will see a ticket print with IP address information.
    4. Press and hold the feed button again until you see a ticket printout with setup mode instructions.
  2. Enter configuration settings by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  3. Select beep settings by pressing the feed button 7 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  4. Enable the internal buzzer by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  5. You have now entered beep mode.
    1. Select the mode you want by pressing the feed button the number of times shown on the receipt (Mode 1–Mode 5), then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. If you want to make another selection, re-select Enable Internal Buzzer and choose a new mode.
  6. Save your settings.
    1. Go back to the previous menu by pressing the feed button 1 time quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. Exit with saving by pressing the feed button 2 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  7. Repower the printer on by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it is connected to a terminal, restart the terminal as well.

Configure the Toast TLP400 Printer Beep Sounds

  1. Enter setup mode.
    1. Hold down the power button until it turns orange.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the feed button at the same time until a ticket begins to print.
    3. You will see a ticket print with IP address information.
    4. Press and hold the feed button again until you see a ticket printout with setup mode instructions.
  2. Enter configuration settings by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  3. Select beep settings by pressing the feed button 8 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  4. Enable the internal buzzer by pressing the feed button 3 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  5. You have now entered beep mode.
    1. Select the mode you want by pressing the feed button the number of times shown on the receipt (Mode 1–Mode 6), then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. If you want to make another selection, re-select Enable Internal Buzzer and choose a new mode.
  6. Save your settings.
    1. Go back to the previous menu by pressing the feed button 1 time quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. Select Exit With Save by pressing the feed button 2 times quickly, then press and hold feed for at least 1 second to validate.
  7. Repower the printer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it is connected to a terminal, restart the terminal as well.

Configure the Toast TP300 Printer Beep Sounds

  1. Enter setup mode.
    1. Hold down the power button until it turns orange.
    2. Press and hold both power and feed buttons until a ticket begins to print.
    3. You will see a ticket print with setup mode instructions.
  2. Enter Configuration settings by pressing the feed button 4 times, then press and hold the feed button for at least 1 second to validate.
  3. Select Mechanism and Hardware (4 button presses), then press and hold the feed button for at least one second to validate.
  4. Select Buzzer (3 button presses), then press and hold the feed button for at least 1 second to validate.
  5. Select After Cut Buzzer Configuration (5 button presses), then press and hold the feed button for at least 1 second to validate.
  6. Enable the internal buzzer by selecting Enable Internal Buzzer (3 button presses), then press and hold the button for at least 1 second to validate.
  7. You have now entered beep mode.
    1. Select the mode you want by choosing Mode 1–Mode 6 (per the printed menu), then press and hold the button for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. If you want to make another selection, re-select Enable Internal Buzzer and choose a new mode.
  8. Save your settings:
    1. Go back to the previous menu by selecting Back To Last Menu (1 button press), then press and hold the button for at least 1 second to validate.
    2. Select Exit With Save (2), then press and hold the button for at least 1 second to validate.
  9. Repower the printer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it is connected to a terminal, restart the terminal as well.
