Toast Payroll: Terminated Employees and Unemployment

Toast Payroll is unable to provide legal advice on whether to terminate an employee's profile, put them on leave of absence, or take another action. Toast Payroll also does not handle unemployment claims ourselves. We can, however, confirm for you that state agencies do not have access to Toast Payroll to know what an individual's employment status is. Once an employee files for unemployment, the associated agency will reach out directly to you to confirm if they qualify.
