Consolidate Toast Web Login Credentials

How can I combine my Toast Web (back-end) login credentials?

If you have multiple Toast Web logins, you may run into verification issues if you use the same phone number for more than one account. The best practice is to consolidate your Toast Web logins. 

To use the same phone number for two different accounts: Move all jobs, restaurant access, and permissions to one account.

• If both accounts have access to the same management set (restaurant groups) - choose one single account to be your main account and select Employee > Edit User > Jobs and Permissions to update the following:
  • All the necessary restaurant accesses that the other account has
  • All jobs that the other account has 
  • All permissions (if any) that the other account has 
• If both accounts have access to different management sets - invite the user account you want to edit to any of the restaurants from the “other” user management sets. For directions on this, visit this Support Center article, Assign Employees to Multiple Locations.
  • After the invitation is accepted, follow the same steps mentioned above to give the new user the right set of permissions.

Note: If the user trying to make these changes doesn't have the appropriate permissions, they may need a manager or admin with sufficient permissions to complete this for them. 
 
Once the main user account that you want to use has all the correct access and permissions, this should be the only account you need for working in Toast Web. You can switch between locations using the drop-down menu in the top-left section of the page.
