Disable Kitchen Tickets for Certain Items

How do I disable kitchen tickets for certain items?

For menu items that don't require a ticket to be printed anywhere (fountain drinks fulfilled by servers are a common example!), it's helpful to create a "no print" prep station for these items to be routed. This will essentially act as a "phantom" station that has no printer assigned.
 

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Kitchen > Kitchen stations > Prep stations.
2. Select + Add to create a new prep station.
   1. For Station Name, use No Print. 
   2. For Ticket Printer, make sure that None is selected. 
   3. You can optionally choose to send items to the expediter only so it displays for expeditors and food runners.
   4. You don't need to select the Always Print Tickets checkbox. 
3. Save and publish your changes.

Once you've set up your "No Print" prep station, you'll want to update any menu groups or items that will use this station so that the tickets no longer print for those items. To learn how to do this, visit our Support Center article: .
