Toast Delivery Services Expected Delivery Times

How is the expected delivery time for Toast Delivery Services determined for the guest?

You can set or change your expected delivery time for Toast Delivery Services orders by setting your Online Ordering quote times. Check out Manage Your Quote Time Strategy to learn more about setting your quote times. 

The guest then sees that quote time plus the estimated time DoorDash Drive or Uber Eats will take to deliver the order, which the delivery provider calculates. Here's how it works:
 

1. Set your takeout quote time for how long you prepare the food.
2. Toast then uses that time + the estimated delivery time from your delivery provider—that is what your guests will see as the delivery/expected time.
3. For example, for an order at 11:00 a.m. with a 15-minute quote time and 20-minute delivery time from your delivery provider, the guest would see an 11:35 a.m. delivery/expected time.
4. For future orders, a guest can select a time using the dropdown menu when placing an order via the online ordering page.  The order will be fired to the kitchen using the prep and delivery times so it can be delivered to the guest by the time they selected.
