Get Help With REF Code 108-1 Device Error

• Why am I seeing this error message on my Toast device: “REF Code 108-1”?
• I’m seeing this error message on my Toast Go 2® or Toast Flex device: "REF Code 108-1". What should I do?
• What does the REF code 108-1 device error message mean?

If you’re seeing a “REF Code 108-1” error message on your screen, it means that your device has unauthorized apps installed and requires a firmware update. To ensure that your device meets Toast’s safety and security standards, we highly recommend that you uninstall any unauthorized applications from your device.

To remove and/or uninstall any unauthorized apps, follow these steps:

1.  Select More info on the warning banner to view the list of unauthorized apps that will need to be removed from your device.

1. 1. Return to the Home screen

• • • Toast Go®: Select and hold the circular home button at the bottom of your device to access the Android home screen. 
    • Toast Flex: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see the applications listed in the systems tray.

1. 2. Press and hold the app icon.
   3. When prompted, drag the app all the way to the top to uninstall it.
   4. Repeat this process for all the unauthorized apps listed.
2. Once completed, the error message on your screen will no longer appear.
