Remove a Discount or Comp from an Open Check

For check-level discounts:
 

1. With the check open on your POS, select the line item to discount on the order screen.
2. Select the Discount Item button.
3. De-select the discount button outlined in blue (for example, Open Dollar).
4. The discount line item will be removed and the check will update to reflect the new total without the discount.

For item-level discounts:
 

1. With the check open on your POS, select the discounted item on the order screen. This will also select the associated discount.
2. Select the Discount Item button.
3. De-select the discount button outlined in blue (for example, Open Dollar).
4. The discount line item will be removed and the check will update to reflect the new total without the discount.

Remove a Discount or Comp from a Closed Check

1. On your Toast POS, navigate to the Closed Checks tab.
2. Select the check you would like to remove a comp or discount from.
3. Select Update.
4. Highlight the comp or discount you would like to remove and select the Discount Item button.
5. De-select the highlighted comp or discount button associated with the discount, for example, Comp 10% Item.
6. Select Done to finalize.
