There are currently several ways to locate a guest's account in the Rewards Program so that they can earn and redeem their points. Below are the following cases in which their accounts will be located automatically.
Note: If a guest has not verified their credit card via the original welcome email they received, this swipe will only earn new points; it will not prompt for redemptions until the card is verified.
In general, the best practice would be to ask each guest before taking the payment if they are a Rewards member so that they can potentially be looked up by name, email, or if they have the QR code saved on their phone to present to the POS for scanning.
