Set a Limit for Card Not Present Transactions

To set a limit on card-not-present transactions, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to Toast Web and navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options. 
2. Scroll down the Credit section and ensure Continue accepting card payments without waiting for authorization (recommended) is selected. 
3. Next, enter a dollar amount for Optional: transaction limit.

Note: Thresholds for card-not-present transactions do not apply to employees with the 1.15 Offline/Background Card Processing permission. If an employee attempts to take payment over the transaction threshold and doesn't have this permission, they will be prompted to enter a manager passcode. Once a manager has completed the prompt, the payment will be accepted and submitted for authorization once the disruption is resolved and connectivity is restored.
