I see the following message: "A required update is now available. You must install the update to continue using Toast." However, my screen has been stuck on downloading the update for an extended period of time. How do I fix this?

Answer

An update to the Toast app can take several minutes depending on your Internet speed. If an excessive amount of time has passed and your device appears to be stuck on the loading screen, you can try force quitting the Toast app:

 

  1. Select the circle icon on the bottom of your device screen.
  2. Select the gear icon to access your device settings.
  3. Navigate to Apps and notifications Toast POS.
  4. Force stop the Toast POS device.
  5. Turn off your device, disconnect it for one minute, then reconnect and power back on.
  6. Open the Toast app and proceed with downloading the update if prompted.
