Why isn’t my menu assessing tax on items like it should be?

If your menu suddenly isn't assessing taxes with item sales, you may have removed or archived the master tax rate. The master tax rate is a tool for multi-location restaurants that functions as the master version for a created tax type. (See more info on our Platform guide doc, Creating master tax rates.)

Be sure to undo your archiving of the master tax rate. Then, you'll need to manually reassign the tax at each affected location by navigating to Menus > Settings > Manage tax rates.
