Add or Remove an Integration With Toast Partner Integrations

Looking for a new integration partner? Use the Toast Partner Integrations portal to explore the partner marketplace and add integrations to your restaurant. From this page, you will be able to:
 

  • Filter integration partners by category to find restaurant solutions quickly and easily. 
  • Explore and add new partner solutions. 
  • View, edit, or remove current integration partners. 

 

Manage Integrations in the Toast Partner Integrations Portal

  1. Log in to Toast Web and navigate to Integrations > Integration management > Browse & purchase integrations.
  2. Use the left-hand navigation menu to search by category, or the Search field can be used to find the partner of your choice, then select Add Now once you have found the integration of your choice.
  3. Select Manage integrations near the top right corner of the page to review any previously added integrations.

Use the Partner Filter

Looking for a partner to help manage labor in your restaurant? Use the partner filter to quickly sort through available partners by category and find your desired solution. 

 
  1. Select a desired category from the options listed on the left side of the partner portal. 
  2. This will show you all partner solutions that pertain to that category by selecting the category listed below the partner description in the tile. Partner solutions that apply to more than one category will have all applicable categories listed on the partner tile. 


To learn more about a partner, select the logo icon or the partner's name to proceed to their website.

Add an Integration Partner

If you cannot select Add Now, you may not have access to the Restaurant Management suite which includes Toast Partner Integrations, or the proper permissions to do so (ask your restaurant's Toast Web administrator to grant you permissions). See Set Up Toast Partner Integrations to learn more. It is also possible you may have a hold on your Toast account, which would prevent you from adding new integrations, and you should contact Customer Care to resolve.

 

Once you've identified a partner solution you would like to add, follow the steps below:
 

  1. Select Add Now on the partner tile.

  2. Review the details of the connecting partner and required data visibility information and select Confirm to proceed. You must add an integration to each restaurant location that requires it. 

Your selected partner can now integrate with Toast! Select Back to My Integrations to return to the partner portal. The next step is to work with your contact at this partner to complete any required configuration. The partner will be reaching out to you soon!

Note: Not all integrating partners are immediately ready to use once added to your integrations list. Additional setup may be required with the partner to complete the integration with some requiring multiple weeks of set up. Please connect with your integrating partner to learn more about their time for connection to Toast.

Add Integrations for Groups With Multiple Locations

If your restaurant group has more than one location, you can add integrations to multiple locations at once.

It's important to note that the restaurant needs to have access to Toast Partner Integrations through a Restaurant Management suite in order to have the option to add most integrations. To learn more, check out the article Set Up Toast Partner Integrations

You must have the 8.4 Manage integrations permission to complete the steps below. See the Permissions Reference Guide to learn more. 

To add an integration to multiple locations, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Integration management > Browse & purchase integrations.
  2. Select Manage integrations in the top right corner.
  3. Select the Add More Integrations button at the bottom of the page. 
  4. After identifying a partner solution you wish to add, select Add Now.  
  5. On the left, use the drop-down menu to select which locations you want this partner to access. You can also select all applicable locations within your restaurant group by selecting Select All.

    1. If a location appears grayed out in the drop-down menu, it may mean any of the following: 
      1. The location already has this integration enabled. 
      2. You do not have the 8.4 Manage Integrations permission at that restaurant. 
      3. The restaurant location does not have access to Toast Partner Integrations.  
    2. padlock icon next to a location in the drop-down menu indicates that the location does not have access to Toast Partner Integrations. You can also view the total number of locations without Toast Partner Integrations access at the top of the drop-down menu.
    3. A prohibitory sign next to a location indicates that you do not have permission to add an integration at that location. You can also view the total number of locations for which you cannot add integrations at the top of the drop-down menu.

  6. Once you have chosen your desired locations, select Apply. The selector will collapse to display a confirmation list of the restaurants you selected before adding the integration. 
  7. Be sure to double-check your selections before adding the integration. To remove any selections, select the down arrow and update your selection.
  8. When you're ready, review the details of the connecting partner and required data visibility information and select Confirm to finish adding the integration. You will receive a follow-up email summarizing the locations the integration has been added to. 


Integrations cannot be removed from multiple locations at a time. If you need to remove an integration from multiple locations within a group, you will need to remove it from each location separately. 


Selecting Cancel will ask you to confirm if you want to leave the page and discard any changes made. By selecting Cancel, your changes will not be saved, and you will return to the Toast Partner Integrations marketplace.

Add Multiple Locations via Integration

If you've already added an integration to one of your restaurant locations, you can add it to other restaurant locations right through the My Integrations page.
 

  1. To do this, navigate to Integrations > Browse & purchase integrations.
  2. Select Manage integrations in the top right corner.
  3. Select the specific integration you'd like to add to other locations.
  4. Select the plus symbol underneath the Actions column.
  5. This will take you to the merchant agreement, where you have to open the Select Locations drop-down and select the location where you want to add the integration. Select as many locations as you'd like to, then select Apply.  
 

If you see an exclamation point instead of the plus symbol, select it and follow the instructions on the pop-up.

  1. In Toast Web, switch to the location you wish to add the integration to.
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Browse & purchase integrations.
  3. Search for and find the integration.
  4. Select Learn More on the integration tile. You will be brought to Toast Shop where you can add the integration.
 

Add or Modify External IDs 

Note: This may not be required for every partner integration. 

If a partner has reached out to you with external ID modifications, you can manage them all in one place. Adding or changing multiple restaurant locations' external IDs can be done quickly within the My Integrations page. 
 

  1. Start by selecting My Integrations from the Toast Partner Integrations portal. Then locate the integration you wish to manage external IDs for.
  2. Select the gear icon in the middle of the Actions column to open the menu. 
  3. This menu will pull up all restaurant locations associated with your Toast account that have access to Toast Partner Integrations. You can find a specific location using the search bar to the left side of the menu. 
  4. After you've made edits for one or multiple locations, select Apply to finalize the changes.

Remove an Integration Partner

Once you have added partner solutions for your restaurant, they will appear in table form on the My Integrations page in Toast Web (Integrations > Browse & purchase integrations > select Manage integrations). To remove a partner solution, follow the steps below:

 
  1. To remove a partner solution, select the trash icon next to the partner name on the My Integrations page in Toast Web.
  2. Select Save when finished. 


To add another partner solution, select Add More Integrations and follow the steps under Add an Integration Partner

 

Note: If you subscribed to Toast Partner Integrations (or the Restaurant Management Suite) and removed all integrations, you will still be charged the monthly fee. Contact Toast Support to cancel your subscription.

My Integrations Activity

Use My Integration Activity to view all changes to your restaurant's connected partners. 
 

  1. Toast Web, navigate to Integrations > Integration management > Integration audit history.
  2. Use the drop-down menus at the report's top to select the desired date and time. 
  3. Once a date/time range is chosen, select Update to see the changes reflected in the report below. 
  4. All additions or removals of connected partners will be listed with a username, partner name, date/time, and the corresponding action.
