Elo I-Series: Enable External Storage Permissions

Before getting started, follow the steps on how to enable external storage permissions for any firmware version below: 3.46.302 on Elo V2 devices and 1.47.17 on Elo V1 devices

1. Navigate to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Toast POS > Permissions
2. Confirm that permissions are enabled for Location, Phone, and Storage
3. Retry the firmware update when prompted - If the update was delayed, it will prompt automatically again after eight hours.

Elo I-Series: Install a Firmware Over-the-Air Update

1. After you enter your passcode on the Toast passcode screen, the Required Update prompt displays
2. When the Required Update screen displays, a timer countdown begins. You can take one of the following actions:
   1. No Action: The installation begins automatically when the timer runs out.
   2. Select Install Update or Update Now: the installation begins immediately.
   3. Select Delay Update (in cases where you can defer the update):  the installation is postponed to a time you choose.
      1. If you select the Delay Update option, you will be prompted how long a delay.
      2. Options will be either one hour, eight hours, one day, or until the update is required.
   4. For most Elo tablets, the installation begins immediately. Proceed to step six.
   5. For Elo tablets that have the following or lower build numbers, you are prompted to install the Elo support application:
      1. The build number on your Elo i-Series 1.0 tablet is 1.26.24 or lower.
      2. The build number on your Elo i-Series 2.0 tablet is 3.26.77 or lower.

3. If the support application is required, the update is paused until it is installed. To proceed, select Install Support Application
4. Select Next at the bottom right of the screen to review access information.
5. Then, select Install at the bottom right of the screen.
6. The firmware installation begins and displays the following message
   1. The update process takes a few minutes, during which time you may see Elo progress screens.
   2. Note: Do not unplug any cables or the monitor while the update is in progress.
      1. When the installation finishes, the tablet will reboot and display the Android home screen.
