Toast Fuel Overview

Toast Fuel, also called Fuel Mode, is a mode built on Toast's Retail platform that connects your indoor POS to your outdoor fuel dispensers. It lets your staff authorize pumps, handle prepays, accept fleet cards, and manage fuel transactions from the same system you use to run your in-store retail and food operations. Fuel Mode currently supports Wayne dispensers with iXPay 1 or iXPay 2 payment terminals, with additional dispenser and payment support planned for future releases.

Step 1: Confirm Your Site Is a Fit

Fuel Mode is built for independent, unbranded fuel operators, most commonly those who also run a convenience store or foodservice counter. To confirm your site is a fit, check that you operate independently of a major oil brand and that your fuel dispensers are Wayne models with iXPay 1 or iXPay 2 payment terminals.
