| Toast Wholesale is currently in limited release with select customers. Check back soon for updates! |
Applies to: Toast Wholesale, Toast Wholesale Pro
Permissions needed:
What you'll accomplish: Configuring your Toast Wholesale payments, ordering, invoice, notification, and custom field settings.
To open settings, navigate to Toast Web > Wholesale > Settings.
Settings opens on the Payments tab. The TABC tab only appears for accounts that have Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) reporting.
The Payments tab sets which methods customers can use at checkout. Payment settings apply to all customers unless you add an exception. Credit card starts as Accepted, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) bank transfer starts as Not accepted.
Expected outcome: ACH Payments appears in the Wholesale sidebar, where you can view payouts, disputes, transactions, and documents.
Expected outcome: Customers see only the payment methods you accepted at checkout.
Note: A new processing fee only applies after you publish the fee. If you disable both payment methods, you're asked to confirm, because customers can no longer pay online.
Exceptions let a specific company or location pay differently from your default.
Expected outcome: The company or location uses its exception instead of your default payment methods.
The Ordering tab has three pages: Ordering profiles, Fulfillment time, and Inventory.
Ordering profiles require Toast Wholesale Pro.
An ordering profile sets when and how customers can order. Locations without a profile are flagged in a banner.
Expected outcome: Customers at the assigned locations can only order within the profile's days, cutoffs, and limits.
Expected outcome: New orders use the updated default fulfillment time.
Inventory settings require Toast Wholesale Pro.
Expected outcome: Customers don't see out-of-stock items when they order in Toast Supply.
The Invoices tab sets defaults for every new invoice.
The invoice template includes these options:
Expected outcome: New invoices use your default due date, revenue center, and template.
The Notifications tab sets who on your team gets order and invoice emails, and where customer replies go.
Expected outcome: Your team gets the order and invoice emails you chose, and customer replies go to your reply-to address.
Custom fields add your own data to companies, locations, and invoices. Text is the only field type for now.
Expected outcome: The new field is available on companies, locations, or invoices, depending on the tab you used.
To retire a custom field, archive the field. Select Show archived to see or restore archived fields.
