What is the Toast HR Toolkit?

Powered through our partner Mineral, the Toast HR Toolkit provides Toast Payroll customers with free and easily accessible tools and expertise on restaurant-HR questions and challenges tailored to your needs to help save time and money navigating HR issues. Customers can build their HR foundation through access to self-services libraries and tools around the following topics:

What can I use the HR Toolkit for?

The HR Toolkit can be used to support your restaurant HR needs, including:

      • Express one-state employee handbook creator
      • Access the SMART handbook creator by logging into your Toast Mineral account and selecting Company Policies > Handbooks
    • Labor Posters
      • Toast Payroll customers can download the necessary state and federal labor posters directly from their Mineral account by searching "Posting Requirements: <<enter your state here>>"
      • Alternatively, you may purchase a laminated labor poster from a variety of online vendors; Toast's HR Toolkit does not include free laminated posters

How do I access my HR Toolkit?

1. 1. If you're a returning user, navigate to . If you're unsure of your username or password, select Forgot Username or Password?. Otherwise, search for the welcome email from Mineral in your inbox.
   2. If you're a new user, after processing your first payroll with Toast, you will receive a welcome email auto-generated from Mineral. This contains your Mineral login credentials. If you do not see the email right away, try searching for it in both your inbox and spam/junk folders. The subject line is Welcome to your HR Support Center.
   3. Select the Login button at the bottom of this email and enter the Username and Password that were provided in the email.
      1. Store your credentials in a secure location.
      2. If you're having trouble logging into Mineral, see .
   4. Upon the first login, you will be prompted to confirm employee count and state(s) as well as change your password. Completing this step will activate you as a customer.

If I don't see the Welcome to your HR Support Center email from Mineral after my first payroll, can this be resent to me?

Yes. Contact the Toast Payroll Customer Care team by selecting the blue dot in the lower-right corner of any page in Toast Payroll.

What if I can't log into the Toast HR Toolkit?

Your username can be found in the welcome email described . Otherwise, you can select the Forgot Username or Password? link on the login page to reset your password. If you still need assistance, reach out via email at .

What is the cost?

The Toast HR Toolkit is included as a core feature of Toast Payroll. There is no charge to access the site and its content.

Are there HR advisors available to me?

The Toast HR Toolkit is an online resource free for Toast Payroll customers. If you are interested in access to a certified HR Advisor, consider Toast HR On-Demand. Toast HR On-Demand can provide guidance on HR challenges from basic compliance to complex workplace issues.
