Learn the scope of services for the Toast implementation team and costs that could be incurred during your onboarding journey and for post-live services.

Onboarding Fees

On-site Day

On-site installation day (8 hours) with a Toast-trained resource. Time can also be leveraged for manager and staff training or go-live support.

Note: There may be additional fees incurred based on your request. 

Additional $750 travel fee for non-covered areas.

$1,000/day

 

Remote Day

A Toast-trained resource will be available for remote support for 8 hours within the defined time period: Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. local time. 

$800/day

Non-Standard Hours

Additional $500 fee for after-hours work, weekend work, overnight stay, or national holiday. 

$500/day/resource 

Cable Termination

You are responsible for having all cables terminated prior to your installation. Cables that need to be terminated will be subject to this fee for onsite installations.

Cancellation Fees

 Cancellations

Canceling or rescheduling an installation, training, or go-live less than seven (7) days before the scheduled appointment date. This fee will be assessed for every scheduled day.

Site Readiness

If a Toast-trained resource comes on-site and the location is not ready for installation, this will result in a cancellation of the current appointment as well as subsequent scheduled appointments.

Post-Live Services Fees

A Toast-trained resource will be available to come on-site for a technical services appointment.

On-site After Hours or Holiday

A Toast-trained resource will be available to come on-site for an after-hours or holiday technical service appointment. Appointments scheduled to occur on a weekend or with a start time of 7 p.m. or later are considered after-hours.

$180/hour

Remote Tech Support 

A Toast-trained resource will be available remotely for a technical services appointment.

$100/hour

Online Ordering Setup

One-hour consult with a Toast modules specialist to configure and train on Online Ordering settings and best practices.

Gift Card Conversion

Conversion of existing gift card liability into the Toast system.

Loyalty Conversion

Conversion of existing loyalty data into the Toast system.

Inventory Upsell

One-hour training call with a Toast modules specialist on inventory configuration and best practices.

On-site training

Up to an 8hr on-site training session to train on multiple products and agenda items to an individual or group of learners with a Toast Trainer.

A Toast-trained resource will be available to come on-site for a technical services appointment.

CAD$190/hour

Remote Tech Support 

 A Toast-trained resource will be available to come on-site for a technical services appointment.

Recurring Services

A dedicated Professional Services consultant will provide expert guidance and configuration support for Menu management on an ongoing basis for a set amount of hours per month or per quarter. 

Customized per customer 

Multi Location Menu Consolidation

A Professional Services consultant will implement the MLM product for live locations. Services include upfront demo and optional training at the end of the implementation.

Request a Service

  1. Contact Toast Support - Contact Customer Support to request a field service appointment.
  2. Provide Details About Your Request - Describe the type of assistance you need (e.g., printer setup, POS troubleshooting, hardware installation). Accurate details will help Toast process your request efficiently.
  3. Follow Up With Scheduling Steps - If your request qualifies, you will receive an email within 5 to 7 business days. During busier periods, this process may take up to three weeks. Check your email for an availability form or scheduling details.
  4. Confirm the Appointment - An appointment is confirmed only after you accept the email notification about the scheduled date and time. Declined notifications will require a new request.

Restrictions and Limitations

Technicians provide valuable in-person support but have some restrictions. They:

  • Do not run Ethernet cables or perform wall-mounting.
    • Consider hiring a local low-voltage IT technician for faster resolutions if immediate cable work is required.
  • Cannot reset email passwords, build menus, or perform menu work onsite.
  • Do not have specialized access (e.g., UniFi access for Access Points).
  • Cannot perform tasks requiring ladders over a foot.
