Answer

Toast is rolling out a BBPOS firmware update between June 24 and July 14. These updates are designed to improve stability, security, and compatibility and help ensure smooth and reliable card reader performance.

  • If the update has failed, reboot the card reader by unplugging or power-cycling the device.
  • If the update continues to fail, contact Toast Customer Care.
  • If you would like to be removed from automatic updates, contact Toast Customer Care.

 

Note: If your card reader stops working after a firmware update, unpair and re-pair the reader with your terminal, then confirm the reader shows the latest firmware version. If the reader still does not connect, restart the terminal; if the issue persists, contact Toast Customer Care with your reader model and serial number.
