Why is my Catering Online Ordering link not working?

If your Catering Online Ordering link is not working, review the link for any typos or errors when adding it to your website. If the link is correct, please contact Customer Care.

When does revenue post?

Revenue posts on the day of the event.

Where can I find reporting on discounts?

You can find reporting on discounts within the Discounts Report under Cash & Loss Management with a filter for Source > Invoice, Catering, Catering Online Ordering.

How are tips accounted for with Catering and Events?

Tips are applied to the server selected on the order. They will post on the day of the event.

Is there a location picker?

We’re working on it! This will eventually be available for all. You can opt in on the Catering Online Ordering settings page.

Is there tax-exempt ordering?

Yes, you can mark a catering order as tax-exempt. Before an order is paid, you can check the Mark Order as Tax Exempt box under the list of items on the order.

Note: It can not be marked tax-exempt, nor can you remove tax-exemption after the check is paid.

Can I use loyalty?

Yes, loyalty can be used with Catering Online Ordering.

Can I offer certain prices to certain customers?

Not yet, but we’ve heard this quite a bit. We may add this in the future.

How do prep times work?

Prep times are currently tied to normal online ordering prep times—this will change in the future.

Is there a menu visibility setting?

There is no menu visibility setting. Menus are only set within Menu Management on the Catering Online Ordering page.

Do I need to have Catering and Events to use Catering Online Ordering?

Yes. Catering Online Ordering is part of the Catering Online Ordering Pro package. Navigate to Toast Shop to learn more!

Is there zoned delivery?

Yes, you can set up zoned delivery by navigating to Catering & Events > Online Ordering > Delivery Setup > Delivery Boundary & Zones. This allows you to define multiple delivery zones and avoid waterways, highways, town lines, etc.

Can I use Toast Delivery Services® with Catering Online Ordering?

Yes, Catering Online Ordering can be used with Toast Delivery Services®. See the Enable Toast Delivery Services® for Third-Party Ordering Partners section in the Optimize Toast Catering & Events article.

Why are my catering delivery orders showing up as pick-up orders?

Your catering delivery orders may be showing up as pick-up orders due to your inherited Takeout & delivery settings.

Why are my dine-in checks appearing on my Catering calendar?

Your dine-in checks may be appearing on your Catering calendar because you have Dine-In selected from the drop-down menu.
