Assigned Pre-modifier Name Not Showing When Deselected

• Why is the default modifier not showing "NO" in front when it's deselected?
• I created and assigned a pre-modifier text to a default modifier. Why is the additional text that I added not appearing when it's deselected?

If you created and assigned a pre-modifier (an additional text added either before or after a modifier name) to a default modifier, and the additional text that you added doesn't appear when the said modifier is deselected,  it may be due to one of your UI options settings in Toast Web.

To check or change your current settings, please follow these steps: 

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Front of house > Order screen setup > UI options.
2. In the Order Screen section, scroll down to the Show Default Modifiers? setting.
   1. Select Yes to always show default modifiers on the order
   2. Select No to only show default modifiers when they are removed (e.g. "NO tomato")
   3. Note: This only applies to default modifier groups where more than one modifier can be selected. Default modifiers in groups where only one can be selected will always be shown. 
3. Save and publish your changes.
