Question

Does DoorDash allow users to order items from menus outside its availability hours?

Answer

No — DoorDash recognizes the availability hours that you have set for your menus and ensures that items within menus cannot be ordered outside its configured availability time frame. If a guest attempts to order items from menus outside their set availability, they will see an error message indicating “Item out of special hour”.

 

However, please be advised that menus or menu items may still appear on the DoorDash website. We recommend that you rename your menu to include its availability hours (e.g., breakfast 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. ONLY). Alternatively, you may opt to remove its availability entirely and offer all items throughout the day or remove partners' visibility to any menus using availability and only sell those items in-store and on Toast Online Ordering.
