Adjust Your Toast Gift Card Purchase Limit

Note: In order to make these changes, you must have the 6.3 Payments Setup permission. 

Currently, the maximum gift card purchase limit you can configure in Toast Web is 500 in your local currency USD/CAD/EUR/GPB for e-gift card purchases, and 2000 in your local currency USD/CAD/EUR/GPB for in-store, physical gift card purchases. This cap is set in order to help protect your restaurant from incurring increased chargebacks and fraud. You can adjust your gift card minimum and maximum amounts by following the steps below. 

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options. 
2. Under the Gift Card section, change the Maximum Amount. The amounts will show in your local currency. The example below has it set to $120. While you are in there, you can also set a Minimum Amount if you would like to, such as $5 or $10. 
3. Save and Publish your changes.
