Sell Toast Gift Cards Over $500

Currently, the maximum gift card purchase limit you can configure in Toast Web is $500 for e-gift card purchases, and $2000 for in-store, physical gift card purchases. This cap is set in order to help protect your restaurant from incurring increased chargebacks and fraud. If you need to sell gift cards for a higher amount, you can use one of these methods:
 

• Online gift card purchase: Guests can purchase a gift card with a $500 value, and then return to your restaurant's public page to add more value to the gift card by selecting the Check Balance/Add Value button. The limit is still $500 per transaction, but this can allow a total gift card balance of over $500.
• In-store gift card purchase: The max value per gift card is $2000. The POS allows up to ten gift cards per check, with no cap on total check value.
