Set up Tipping for Gift Cards

Question

How do I enable tipping with a gift card?

Answer

When gift card tipping is enabled, the option to leave tips using gift cards will be displayed on the POS, Kiosk, and Toast Go® 2, however, it will not be available for Toast Online Ordering orders and/or orders that will be paid using Toast Mobile Order & Pay®.

 To enable gift card tipping, follow these steps:

  1. In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options.
  2. Scroll down to the Gift Card section.
  3. For the Receipt Options setting, select the checkbox under Tips enabled.
  4. Save and publish your changes.
