Menu Builder Overview

The menu builder is a menu tool in Toast Web that allows restaurants to easily build and manage their menus.

In your menu builder, you'll find menus and menu groups are displayed on the left side of your screen. 
 

 

Items within a menu group are displayed clearly with images and pricing in the center of the screen.

Once the item is selected, modifier groups, pricing, kitchen prep, and visibility, among other settings, can be changed on the item details page.

Within the menu builder, you'll also see a View POS layout button, which will allow you to preview the way your menus will look and function on your POS. To learn more about this feature, see Can I preview how my menus will look on my POS?.
 

To access the menu builder in Toast Web, navigate to Menus > Menu management > Menu builder. You can also find it in the Quick actions section of your Toast Web homepage.

Note: The menu builder does not yet support creating or editing menu groups, modifier groups, and/ or modifiers for restaurants using Toast Multilocation Management (MLM). If you need to create menus or menu items, you will need to create them first via the Advanced Properties page in Toast Web (Menus > Bulk Management > Advanced properties).
