Privacy Compliance Overview  

Toast recognizes that as part of doing business, our customers may be subject to various data privacy obligations around the world. As part of our commitment to our merchants to give them the tools to be successful, Toast has developed a privacy dashboard to help you comply with your local privacy obligations and streamline those obligations where Toast or personal information processed by Toast is involved.

Toast has prepared guidance notes (in Support Center articles linked below) for merchants that are subject to:
 

• the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),
• the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), and
• the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)

Within the privacy dashboard is an Individual Rights form. This form enables you to streamline individual rights requests (e.g., deletion, access, correction requests) that require support from Toast as part of your fulfillment obligations. 

Please use the Individual Rights form (described below) to submit requests that you receive that need Toast's support to facilitate. Toast will use the provided information to identify the parties at issue, as well as assess and support the request as deemed appropriate by Toast.

Submit an Individual Rights Request

To access your privacy dashboard and submit an Individual Rights request, follow these steps:

1. In , navigate to Toast account > Privacy Compliance > Privacy Compliance.
2. From here, you'll be taken to the Privacy Dashboard and Individual Rights Form.  
3. Fill out the required fields as designated on the form. Depending on where you're located, specific privacy laws pertaining to your state/country will populate. It's important that you complete the form accurately as Toast’s Privacy Office may need to communicate with you as part of the request. 
4. Once you've finished filling out the form, select Submit. 
5. An email will automatically generate on your device, pre-populated with the information that the Toast team will need.

Once received, we will begin to process the request and assess any Toast obligations associated with the request. Toast’s Privacy Office will process and respond to individual rights requests in line with our privacy obligations under the applicable law (including any required timelines for responding to you).
