How do I use more than one modifier for one menu item?
Answer
In Toast Web, navigate to Menus > Menu management > Menu manager.
Select the arrow (caret) icon next to the menu, menu group, and menu item until you see the modifier group.
Select the modifier group name.
Toggle on the Allow guests to select more than one modifier setting.
Use the drop-down menus that appear below this setting to select your desired numbers for What is the minimum number a guest must select? and What is the maximum number a guest can select? If you have a menu item that requires an exact number of choices (for example, "Pick 3 scoops" for ice cream), the minimum and maximum can both be the same number ("3", in this example).
Toggle on the Can the same modifier be added to an item more than once? setting. You can override this setting for any specific modifier within the group. Here are some common cases where you would want this setting turned on:
You want to allow your guests to double up on sides, selecting the same "side" modifier more than once.
You have a menu item like a Large Ice Cream Cone where guests can choose three flavors of ice cream, and they might choose the same flavor for multiple scoops.
Save and publish your changes.
