View Daily Sales Data Trends Over Time

How can I view sales data for a specific day of the week over a period of time?

The Sales Analytics report can provide data that allows you to compare which days of the week are the most and the least busy in your restaurant. You can use this information to make informed decisions on purchasing, staffing, and more. Follow the steps below to learn where to find and how to use this report:

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Sales > Sales analytics.
2. Select whether you'd like to view a Sales Report or Compare Dates. Choosing Compare Dates will allow you to see sales data from each date range side-by-side. If your restaurant uses multi-location management, you'll also have the option to compare sales data across locations.
3. Choose a date range, and then select Submit to create the report.
4. Scroll down to find the Net Sales by Day of the Week chart in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
5. Hover your cursor over a certain day of the week to view specific numbers, including net sales, number of orders, and number of guests.

You can select the download icon (down arrow) to save this report as a CSV file.
