How do I cancel or undo the Invited status on an employee in Toast Web?
When an employee is in the Invited status on the Employees page (Employees > Employee management > Employees), they have been sent an email to create an account in Toast Web. Until they create an account, they cannot clock in or use their POS passcode on a Toast device. This is in order to prevent unauthorized access. The employee will receive an Invalid error on the POS.
The easiest method to proceed is to have the employee accept the invitation that was sent to their email address. This will change their Invited status to Active and will not require any follow-up steps. They can clock in and use the POS as usual.
If an employee no longer needs the Toast Web account or they cannot receive an email for some reason, they must have the Invited status removed to use a Toast device. To remove the Invited status on an employee's profile and cancel the email invitation to provide Toast Web access:
