The following features can be set up to trigger automatic text (SMS) messages for guests.
You can easily send your guests a text message from the Orders Hub to notify them that a takeout or curbside order is ready for pickup. To learn more, check out this Support Center article, Order Ready Text Messaging from the Orders Hub.

Toast POS can be set up to send an automatic text message to guests when an order is fulfilled on your Kitchen Display System (KDS). This allows your guests to know immediately when their food is ready.
To utilize this feature, you will need an expediter KDS screen. Check out Send Text Message when Order is Fulfilled for more information.
The first time a guest is set up to receive an order-ready text message from your restaurant via Toast (whether through the Orders Hub, KDS fulfillment, or curbside arrival messages), they'll see the following text message:
When selling an eGift card on the POS or purchasing an eGift card online, you will be prompted to enter either a phone number or email address for the recipient. If a phone number is entered, the guest will receive a text message with a link to their eGift card.

If an eGift card is sent to the wrong email address or needs to be resent to the original recipient, you can send a link to the eGift card directly via text (SMS).
