Service Charge Error in Toast Catering & Events Orders

Why is the "Service charges were removed" error appearing in my Toast Catering & Events order?

When you are creating an order, and you assign a dining option and a service charge that conflict with each other in Catering & Events you will receive the following error message below:
 

• Service charges were removed: Changing the dining option after adding service charges removes applied service charges. Make sure to add your service charges again.

Example: Your dining option is takeout. A service charge called Delivery Fee is applied, and it is configured to only apply to delivery orders.
