Toast Payroll has each jurisdiction's local taxes in the system. By navigating to Settings > Payroll > Tax Accounts and selecting an FEIN, you'll be able to manage your local tax accounts per state. Use the links below to learn more about a local jurisdiction's tax laws and regulations.

Indiana county/local taxes are collected, paid, and filed by Toast Payroll as part of the Indiana state income tax (SIT) tax returns. They're not lumped in with SIT, but they are reported on the same tax filing, unlike OH and PA locals which have their own separate returns. Employees must complete a Form W-4 and any applicable local forms provided in the Form W-4 workflow in order to withhold state and/or local taxes.
