Question

I'm having trouble accessing Toast - what can I do?

Answer

If you're having trouble loading Toast Web, or land on a page that states an error message like "Oops! We have some cleaning up to do," or "Whoops! 404. Sorry, the page you were looking for at this URL was not found," try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check which web browser you're using. Toast works best using Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. If you suddenly see a message that says "Oops! We have some cleaning up to do." on a page you were able to access in the past, try to navigate to the page using Google Chrome to see if you can access it again.
  2. Try launching Toast in Incognito mode. Even while using one of the above browsers, you may encounter an issue with a page reloading and/or a button not taking you to the next page. To test if your browser may be causing these issues, open an Incognito tab or window.
    • If this resolved your issue, use the links below to clear your cache and cookies to get Toast up and running normally again. Not sure how to do that? Do a Google search for your browser name (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and "private browsing" for instructions.

Note: When clearing your cookie/cache data, start by clearing the shortest date range to see if that helps. If doesn't, continue increasing the date range until you are able to access Toast normally.

    • If you're still receiving the error, it may be a permissions issue. Forbidden errors can sometimes occur when permissions are granted via the Override status. Ask a member of your team with higher permissions (or default permissions granted to them by their job) to attempt the task themselves.
