Why can't guests join a group order when using Toast Mobile Order & Pay®?
When using Group Ordering with Toast Mobile Order & Pay®, the scan and join group feature is only available up to 20 minutes after a check is opened. After 20 minutes, the join feature will be locked and other guests won’t be able to scan the QR code and join.
If a guest is unable to join a group order with the QR code as the 20-minute window has lapsed, another guest in their group can send them their Group Order direct link via SMS so they can join that way instead.
