Why did a payment show as "declined" at close out even though the receipt was printed?
On a printed receipt, the Authorization line near the bottom will show as **Pending** unless a payment is accepted or declined. If a payment is declined, a message will show on the POS.
If you notice that one of your devices shows declined payments when you close out a check even though a receipt was printed, it may be due to a faulty Internet connection. To check your device, follow the instructions in this Support Center article: Verify Your Internet Connection.
Before handing back the method of payment, you can attempt to close the check to ensure payment hasn't been declined.
