If Guest-Facing Display mode isn't working, or your screen isn't displaying any content, it may be due to either Toast Web settings or loose connections to your device.
In , navigate to Payments > Checks & receipt setup > Guest display. Confirm that Screens Enabled is checked for the Guest Facing Display Screens setting. Then, check that both the HDMI and USB cables are connected to the ELO terminal using the tips below.
In total, you should have three cords plugged into your Guest-Facing Display: a power cord, a micro HDMI cord, and a USB cable. Once you've confirmed your connections are secure, power cycle the device (turn it off and then back on again) using the power cable.
If you continue having issues and your Guest-Facing Display isn't displaying any content, please contact Customer Care.
The Guest-Facing Display should show menu items as you ring them in. If there's no picture or it mirrors the screen on your terminal, check that the cables are correctly and securely plugged in. Try the following steps if that doesn't work.
Make sure the power cable is plugged in to the device. It's possible you forgot to take that step when you first set up your Guest-Facing Display.
It's most likely your terminal is frozen and needs to be power cycled:
If the terminal is still not functioning after the power cycle, then unplug the power cord to the tablet for 5-10 minutes. This will cause the terminal to hard reset.
Your card reader and Guest-Facing Display should both be functional now!
