Pregunta
What to do if the Elo tablet lost power or crashed during a firmware update?
Respuesta
Soft-restart the Elo tablet:
Power down the tablet completely.
Power the tablet back on. If you are unable to power the tablet on, see for troubleshooting instructions.
Open the Toast POS app. If the firmware download was interrupted due to the crash or power loss, it will now automatically restart in the background.
Wait for 10 minutes.
In the passcode screen of the Toast app, enter your passcode. You will see the installation prompt.
If you do NOT see the installation prompt, refer to the below.
Select Install Update or Update Now (depending on what you see), then the update will be installed now.
Troubleshooting(installation prompt not showing) If you do not see the prompt to install the firmware update after soft-restarting your Elo tablet:
Go to Android settings > System > About tablet
In the About tablet screen, check the number listed in the Build number field.
If this number matches or is greater than the latest approved firmware version, it means that the firmware update was successful. You do not need to take any further steps.
If the number is lower than the latest approved firmware version, repeat the soft-restart procedure listed at the beginning of this article.
