Ready to have insight into your restaurant's financials, inventory, and more literally at your fingertips? Start by downloading the xtraCHEF app. This app can be downloaded through either the Apple App Store (for Apple Product Users) or through Google Play Store (for Android users).
Once downloaded, you're ready to log in. If you have more than one tenant in xtraCHEF, select the tenant you wish to view sales for.
The xtraCHEF app allows you to view up-to-date sales information (synced directly from Toast Web), make manual adjustments, and even add closing inventory values while on the go.
To get started, select the More button from the navigation bar.
Then select the Daily Sales tab.
This will populate your Daily Sales page.
The Daily Sales Page will default to your first xtraCHEF location and the current calendar date. Here, you can preview basic sales information.
To view sales from a particular date, select a Location and Date on the calendar.
This will launch a new page with an overview of your total sales for the day. Total Sales ($) is the dollar amount of how much you sold, synced from your POS. Total Adjustment is the dollar amount that was manually added or subtracted to your total after the data was synced from your POS.
Under the Sales and Adjustment totals, you'll see the sales breakdown of each of your COGS groups. To edit your totals after they've been uploaded, tap the +/- Adjustment Icon.
Make your desired changes, then tap Done. Your data will immediately be updated.
Daily Sales, similar to Sync Monitor on the desktop version of xtraCHEF, allows you to add closing inventory values by COGS group. To do this, select Add Closing Inventory from your Edit Sales page.
Next, enter your closing inventory values by Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Group.
Tip: Your Inventory by COGS report (available in the xtraCHEF Pro Suite of features) will automatically break out your Inventory by COGS after completing counts. Select Post to Sync Monitor to sync the COGS values to the Sync Monitor. Once saved, your data will be available on the Sync Monitor calendar (first, you'll need to filter by Inventory). You can use this option to compare your sales against your stock.
When finished, select Done. This will save your closing inventory values by COGS Group.
