Assign Courses in the Menu Builder

How do I assign courses to my items?

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Menus > Menu management > Menu builder.
2. Find your desired menu, group, or menu item, and select the three-dot (⋮) overflow menu icon and then select Edit.
3. Scroll down to the Kitchen > Prep stations section and use the drop-down menu to select your desired Course. If you don't have courses set up yet, you'll see a link to create them in Toast Web -- check out to learn more.
   • Note: By default, menu groups are the same course as their parent menus, and menu items are the same course as their parent menu groups.
     • If you'd like to override the inherited course for a menu group, select the link icon next to the Course setting to unlink the configurations. Then, you'll be able to select your desired prep station(s) from the list.
     • If you'd like to override the inherited course for an menu item, toggle Inherit course? to No and then select the desired course from the drop-down menu. 
4. Repeat as desired, then save and publish all changes when you're finished.
