Toast's cash reports give you insight into cash and cash drawer activity going on in your restaurant on a single day. If you have multiple locations, you'll also be able to see cash activity across all locations on a single day.
The following cash reports are available:
| Report | Description |
|---|---|
| Shows the cash activity at a single location on a single day. | |
| Provides cash activity at multiple locations on a single day. This is only available for multi-location restaurants. | |
| Pulls up cash drawer activity details for auditing purposes. |
| Users will need Sales AND Cash Drawer (Full) permissions to view cash reporting and would require Edit Historical Data to make any changes to past sales dates. To see more on Toast permissions, check out our . |
There are two ways to access the Cash Reports and these are as follows:
The cash drawers report provides an overview of all cash activity at a single location on a single day. Each column is a summary of either a physical cash drawer, the House, or an individual server. The Total column will equal the sum for cash collected into all cash drawers and the House.
Note: When using the term "house", this references the restaurant.
The Drawer Overview Report allows you to view cash activity across multiple restaurants on a single day. This is especially useful for managing restaurant groups.
Note: This is only available for multi-location restaurants.
To view cash activity over a date range, use the Activity Audit. The main reason to use this report will be to share any cash-specific reports over a range of time with an accountant.
