What do I do if an employee profile in Toast Payroll has two of the same primary position?
You might realize that an employee is pulling onto reports twice or they are appearing on the Team page twice. This is due to their profile containing more than one instance of the primary position. This can occasionally caused by an update made in the system.
To verify this, navigate to an employee's profile and select Position from the Employment tab. If an employee has two positions and they look exactly the same with both displaying as Primary, then we want to refresh the profile.
To do this, select Edit on the top-most position, select Administrative update as the Reason code, and then don't touch any other fields. In the Notes section, you can put something like Admin update to refresh profile, but this is optional. After selecting Submit, the employee's duplicate primary position should disappear and the profile should only display once on the Team page or in reports.
