Purchase a Toast Gift Card on the Branded Mobile App 

  1. To purchase a Toast Gift Card in the Branded Mobile App, navigate to Account > Gift Cards > Purchase a Gift card.
  2. Enter the value, select the payment method from the drop-down menu, or enter new credit card information. 

Note: Third-party gift cards can not be purchased directly in your branded mobile app; however, you can create an announcement containing your third-party gift card purchasing URL. To learn more, see Get Started With the Branded Mobile App

Reload a Gift Card Balance in the Branded Mobile App

Restaurants subscribed to Toast Gift Cards can offer guests the ability to reload their gift card balance directly in the branded mobile app.

 

To reload a gift card:

  1. Navigate to Account > Gift Cards.
  2. Select your existing gift card.
  3. Choose Reload and enter the desired amount.
  4. Select a payment method (credit/debit card or Apple Pay) and confirm.
  5. Guests can also view their real-time balance.

Add a Toast Gift Card to the Branded Mobile App 

  1. To add a gift card to the account, navigate to Account > Gift Cards > Add Gift Card.
  2. Scan or type in the gift card number.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Once saved, this card can be used as a payment method at checkout.

 

Note: Third-party gift cards can not be stored or managed in your branded mobile app, however they can be redeemed at checkout.

Use Apple Pay With the Branded Mobile App 

Add A Credit Card to Apple Pay for Branded Mobile App

To ensure your card is linked to your Apple Wallet, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap the “+” button to add a card.
  3. Follow the prompts to add your credit or debit card.
  4. The card is then securely linked to your Apple Pay account.

Use Apple Pay at Checkout for Branded Mobile App

When a guest is ready to pay in the Branded Mobile App using Apple Pay, they will follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Apple Pay button directly during the checkout process.
  2.  Confirm their payment following the prompts.

Note: Pending your Apple device settings, your guests may be required to use Face ID, Touch ID, or your PIN to authenticate the transaction.

Add a Toast Gift Card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet 

Guests can now save their Toast digital or physical gift cards directly to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for quick access at checkout.

 

  • To add a digital gift card received by email or SMS:
    1. Open the gift card notification.
    2. Select Add to Apple Wallet (or Add to Google Wallet).

 

  • To add a physical gift card:
    1. Navigate to the gift card balance lookup page.
    2. Enter your card number.
    3. Select Add to Apple Wallet (or Add to Google Wallet).
    4. Once saved, guests can access their gift card from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet when redeeming in-store or online
