Toast Inventory's Stock Depletion feature automates ingredient tracking by decrementing "Stock on Hand" levels in real-time based on sales and recipe data, providing immediate visibility into low-stock items and reorder needs between physical counts.
| This feature is currently in a Beta testing release in Canada, Ireland, and the UK |
Your menu item recipes drive stock depletion in Toast Inventory. This feature allows the system to automatically track how your inventory is used as sales are made, providing a more accurate view of your current stock levels between physical counts.

The results of your stock depletion are most visible on the page. In and navigate to Inventory > Reorder suggestion (found under Purchasing in the navigation menu).

Items automatically move off the list once they are back in stock or exceed their par level.
Prep recipes (such as soup bases or sauces) are unique because they function as both a recipe and a standalone ingredient.
