Toast Payroll: Resend New Hire Onboarding Email

• For employees who have not finished their onboarding steps and never logged in before, how can they access the system and their onboarding steps?
• I have a couple of employees who have not received their email from Toast Payroll to set up their account, how do I resend the welcome email to them?

When you create a new hire in Toast Payroll and finish the employer onboarding steps, a "welcome" email is automatically sent out. It directs new hires to create their password and set up their Toast Payroll account, then guides them into the employee onboarding steps. If an employee loses or misplaces their "welcome" email, another email can be sent out in its place. This email is known as an "invite" email. It also guides employees to create their password if one hasn't been set yet, but it does not automatically direct them to log into Toast Payroll and complete their onboarding steps (if they still need to do so). When this email is sent, employers should follow up with new hires to ensure they're completing the employee side of onboarding when appropriate.

Notes:

• The "welcome" email itself can not be resent; only the "invite" email can be sent outside of the new hire onboarding workflow.
• If you do not see an option to resend the "invite" email, it means the user has already logged in; in this case, they may need to reset their password to re-access their account.

1. To send an invite email, navigate to the Team page.
2. If you only need to send one "invite" email, locate the employee and select the envelope icon.
   1. If you'd like to send more than one "invite" email, select the checkboxes for each employee, then select Invite. You can use this feature in combination with Filters, too. Use for more information.

4. Once a user selects Log in from the email, they will see one of two screens:
   1. If they have never logged in to Toast Payroll, they will be asked to create a password first. This email address and password will be their two login credentials for all Toast products. Once the new hire creates a password, they'll see a You're all set up! screen where they should select Continue and then proceed to log in and work through each . Remember to follow up with employees to ensure they're finishing the steps.
   2. If the individual has already set a password for all Toast products, they'll be directed straight to the You're all set up! screen, so they simply need to select Continue and log in.
      1. If the employee has forgotten their password, they can select Forgot password? once they enter their email address.
