Updating your menus in bulk via the price editor gives you the ability to apply price changes to multiple items rather than individually.

Price Editor Overview

The price editor is a useful tool for editing prices in bulk. Similar to using advanced properties (see Use Advanced Properties to Edit Your Menus), you can see your entire menu expanded out.

The price editor gives you the ability to apply changes directly to items or menus in bulk, without having to go into each individual component to make updates. This can be helpful if you've created a separate menu for third-party ordering like Grubhub, DoorDash, and Uber Eats, and want to increase prices on those platforms. You can access the bulk price editor by navigating to  Menus >  Bulk management > Price editor in Toast Web.

Note: Currently, the Price Editor tool can only be used to update the prices of menu items. If you wish to edit the prices of modifiers, modifier groups and nested modifiers, you can do so by navigating to the individual modifier group details page.

Change the Price of a Single Item or Menu With the Price Editor

  1. To change the price of an item in the price editor, use the caret (arrow) icons to expand your menu and any groups to show your menu items.
  2. Select the checkbox next to your desired item and change the value in the Price field.

Note: Selecting an entire menu will not automatically select all of the groups and items within the groups. If you're having trouble saving changes with the price editor tool, make sure to use the arrow buttons to expand each menu, and select the specific groups/items whose prices you'd like to update.

  3. Save and publish your changes when complete. Your updates won't be applied unless these buttons are selected.
