Pregunta
Why did holiday hours not automatically populate on timesheets?
What happens when company holidays are added after the date?
Respuesta
If the holiday hours did not automatically populate on timesheets, check the following:
Determine if calendar events were in place. A calendar event allows for a holiday timekeeping rule to be set up.
Navigate to Settings > Timekeeping > Holiday Rules > HERE (the link in the paragraph)
Review the Add Company Holidays and Events section of for directions on this process
Check the configuration of the holiday rules
Navigate to Settings > Timekeeping > Holiday Rules
Select the name of a holiday rule and ensure the Company Holiday and Earning Code fields are configured correctly.
You may also need to select the blue + icon to check any parameters that were set. Parameters will limit the amount of employees this rule applies to. A parameter cannot be edited, but you can delete it and add a new one.
After checking the above settings, select the hyperlinked number in the Employees column to see which employees the rule would apply to on the selected date.
If the company holiday was added after the holiday:
It will not automatically update time entries for employees.
If your holiday rule is set to Holiday Premium Worked, this means employees who worked on the holiday are eligible for the rule. In this case, each time entry on the holiday will need to be for the holiday rule comes into effect.
If your holiday rule is set to PaidHoliday Hours, this means employees automatically get hours added onto their timesheet for the holiday, whether or not they worked. So we can use the Days Before field on the holiday rule to have the holiday push to timesheets after the holiday.
Using a negative date will be days after a holiday, with day 0 being the holiday itself, -1 being the day after the holiday, etc.
Holidays populate in nightly processes, so you will always need to set it up to appear as tomorrow at the earliest.
Note: If you use a negative number here as a fix, be sure to update the number correctly after hours appear on the timesheets.
