Get Started With the WineView Loyalty Integration

Connect WineView as a loyalty provider on Toast so staff can look up guest rewards accounts on the POS.

WineView Loyalty Overview

WineView also offers a separate club and membership integration (recurring billing, member management). This article covers the WineView loyalty integration only. For the club and membership integration, see Get Started With the WineView Integration.

WineView is a third-party loyalty (rewards) provider you can connect to Toast instead of Toast's first-party loyalty program. Once connected, staff can look up a guest's WineView rewards account directly on the Toast POS.

Before You Begin

Applies to: Toast Web

Permissions needed:

  • Marketing Info permission at the gift/rewards group level

What you'll accomplish: Connect WineView as your restaurant's loyalty provider so staff can look up a guest's WineView rewards account on the Toast POS.

Toast supports only one active loyalty provider per restaurant group. If your restaurant group already has a loyalty provider enabled — including Toast's own first-party loyalty — you'll need to switch providers rather than run WineView alongside it. See Switch Between Gift Card or Loyalty Providers in Get Started With Gift Card and Loyalty Partner Integrations.

You'll also need:

  • A subscription to Restaurant Management Suite
  • The WineView tile enabled in Toast Partner Connect. If you don't see it, contact your Toast Integrations representative.
  • Your location(s) added to the "Gift / Rewards Card Program" restaurant group.

Step 1: Enable the WineView Tile in Toast Partner Connect

  1. In Toast Web, navigate to Integrations > Integrations management > Browse & purchase integrations.
  2. Enter WineView in the search field and select Add Now.
  3. Select the restaurant location or locations you want to connect, then select Apply.

Step 2: Wait for Toast Integrations Support to Complete Enablement

After you enable the WineView tile, WineView submits an enablement request to Toast Integrations Support on your behalf. You'll be copied on WineView's request.

Enablement is typically completed three or more business days after the request, during business hours Monday through Friday.

Step 3: Select WineView as Your Loyalty Provider in Toast Web

This is a group-level change. You must publish at every location in the restaurant group — not just one.

Once Toast Integrations Support has completed enablement, finish setup in Toast Web:

  1. Navigate to the Rewards Program page (also labeled Loyalty Settings, depending on your Toast Web version), or search Loyalty Settings in the Toast Web search bar.
  2. Under Provider, select WineView.
  3. Select Save. This filters the Enabled Features list to the features WineView supports.
  4. Select the Enabled Features you want to enable:
    • Customer balance lookup
    • Mag-stripe card swipe lookup
    • 2D barcode lookup
    • Phone number lookup
    • Email address lookup
    • Customer name lookup
  5. Select Save, then Publish.

Once published, staff can look up a guest's WineView rewards account using any of the enabled lookup methods on the Toast POS.

Note: WineView's loyalty integration is lookup-only. Guests cannot sign up for a WineView loyalty account through Toast POS, Guest-Facing Display, or Kiosk — sign-up happens through WineView directly.
